Descripcion trad Mollerussa is a city with a great and recognized fair tradition. Capital of the Pla d'Urgell region, its fair origins date back to 1872 with the birth of the Fira de Sant Josep, a competition that today has become a benchmark in the territory as a meeting point for the agri-food sector. The autonomous municipal entity Fira de Mollerussa was established in 1985 as the organizer of the Fira de Sant Josep, a competition to which others were added in recent years, the result of the economic situation and local dynamism, promoting different sectors of the regional economy. This push contributed a lot to the spread of the image of Fira de Mollerussa as a fair promoter. The adaptation to changes, the economic situation, a new demand and the emergence of new technologies has led, in the last decade, to a readjustment and restructuring of the projects started, but at the same time it has generated the creation of new events with renewed future challenges and adaptation to a changing environment in order to achieve a competitive fair offer. Fira de Mollerussa is currently in a moment of quality leap, with a consolidated and differentiated fair calendar, offering our exhibitors a point of reference as a point of business and opportunity, at the same time as a fundamental strategic marketing tool for their business development. The fair calendar annually calls for events aimed at sectors such as the agri-food sector, the automobile sector, the classic motor sector or technology, such as the world of drones. The Fira de Sant Josep, recognized as the Catalan Agricultural Machinery Fair and with almost a century and a half of history, has become the most emblematic event of this calendar, with the participation of around 300 direct exhibitors year after year. On the other hand, and coinciding with this competition, the Saló de l'Automóbil is held, showing that it stands on the Catalan podium in terms of this type of shows and considering its level of vehicle sales.
