The Lleida startup Agrin’Pulse has been awarded first prize in the Agriculture, Livestock and Food category of the prestigious ARME Awards 2025, one of the most outstanding recognitions in Spain in applied robotics. The award, endowed with €10,000, was presented on June 26 in Madrid, at a gala that brought together the most innovative startups and technologists in the country.
The project captivated the jury for its high technological value and its transformative potential in the agricultural sector: an intelligent robot capable of identifying the ripeness of fruit using artificial vision and embedded artificial intelligence, and harvesting it with great precision. This initiative offers specific solutions to key problems such as labor shortages, food waste and the need to increase the efficiency and quality of the harvest.
From university project to AgTech benchmark
Agrin’Pulse was founded by Pau Palau and Jordi García, two engineers with a solid academic background. The project began by linking to the UPC and has quickly evolved to establish itself as one of the most promising startups in the Catalan AgTech scene.
A successful evolution: from Emprèn Agro Cat to LaVegaInnova
In 2024, Agrin’Pulse triumphed at the Demo Day of the first edition of Emprèn Agro Cat, the acceleration program promoted by FEMAC, consolidating itself with visibility, mentorship and a network of contacts. Shortly after, the company was selected to be part of the LaVegaInnova hub entrepreneurship program—an initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture aimed at promoting startups in the agri-food sector with access to mentoring, real piloting and advanced technological resources. This step further strengthened Agrin’Pulse’s trajectory, favoring its development, validation and industrial growth scenario.
The future of agriculture lies in the technological field
Based in Lleida, Agrin’Pulse represents a new generation of startups committed to the digitalization of the agricultural sector. The company’s current activities revolve around the production of its first commercial batch of robots and the intensification of research to achieve fully autonomous harvesting functionalities.
At Emprèn Agro Cat, we celebrate this new success of Agrin’Pulse and congratulate them for consolidating themselves as a benchmark in agricultural innovation, demonstrating that, with talent and technology, the field of tomorrow is already here.
