Completion of this Course
This course fulfills the requirements set forth in RESOLUTION ACC/1172/2022, dated April 21, which calls for grants for precision agriculture and 4.0 technologies in the agricultural sector under the Sustainability and Competitiveness Boost Plan for Agriculture and Livestock (III), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan for the year 2022 (ref. BDNS 622264).

According to the funding guidelines, farmers are required to complete and justify a Training Plan of at least 25 hours that ensures the proper use and practical application of the technologies targeted by this support program. This training may be organized by distributors, professional agricultural organizations, or other rural development agents.

The FEMAC Cluster, in collaboration with key sectoral centers in Catalonia and with the support of distributors and equipment manufacturers, organizes this course in both online and in-person formats.

Objectives

This course aims to train farmers, landowners, and agricultural operation managers in new agricultural technologies that the sector seeks to integrate into their smart agriculture and digital transformation projects. The program combines traditional agronomic knowledge with cutting-edge technology applications, while delving into the use and practical learning of the acquired equipment.

Competencies

1. Adequate knowledge and ability to develop and apply technology in equipment and systems for the automation and control of agricultural machines and processes.
2. Understanding of precision irrigation technologies and methodologies based on the measurement of soil and plant variables, as well as the utility of decision-support systems (optimization models) for irrigation management in irrigated areas.
3. Comprehension of Big Data models in agricultural environments and algorithms for automated decision-making.
4. Knowledge of Intelligent Systems for Production Monitoring.
5. Acquisition of technical and practical knowledge in using application machines for acquired equipment.
